Dear Members and Friends:

This is the notice for 2025 membership renewal with the Society for Human Ecology (SHE). Member dues are just US $70 regular and $35 for students and individuals from developing nations, as we have maintained it for the last seven years. Renewal may be completed in two ways:

1.     Online by clicking this link: www.cvent.com/d/hhqwn2/3W

2.     Mail or fax by printing the membership form

One of the many benefits of membership is participation in SHE’s international conferences, which bring together scholars and practitioners from around the globe to share and explore a broad range of human ecological perspectives, ideas, and contributions. We thank everyone who took part in last year’s dynamic and successful SHE-XXV Conference hosted by the University of Arizona in Tucson, USA.

It is especially exciting to announce SHE’s XXVIth International Conference: “Ecology, Politics & Justice: Working Towards the Pluriverse,” being hosted by the University of Mons, Belgium on June 18–21, 2025. Planning for the meeting is already well underway. See additional conference details on our homepage.

We continue to celebrate the expanding readership and impact of Human Ecology Review (HER), the official journal of the Society. The journal publishes peer-reviewed interdisciplinary research on all aspects of human-environment interactions. HER operates under a Creative Commons license for use in teaching, research, and other non-commercial applications. There are no charges to authors. All costs are covered by SHE member fees. Please continue to support this democratic open access to knowledge and its distribution by renewing your annual membership in SHE, as well as with your expertise and assistance with the review of manuscripts and/or by joining the editorial board.

Our newest venture is focused on bringing together SHE members — and other academics, students and professionals — in a collaborative exploration of a range of human ecology issues via an interactive, web-based forum. More to come soon.

Communication or questions regarding the SHE-XXVI Conference should be sent directly to: shexxviconference@societyforhumanecology.org. We look forward to your membership renewal – and to seeing you in Mons!
