Human Ecology Review
Human Ecology Review is a semiannual journal that publishes peer-reviewed interdisciplinary research on all aspects of human–environment interactions (Research in Human Ecology). The journal also publishes essays, discussion papers, dialogue, and commentary on special topics relevant to human ecology (Human Ecology Forum), book reviews (Contemporary Human Ecology), and letters, announcements, and other items of interest (Human Ecology Bulletin). As of volume 20(2) Human Ecology Review will also publish an occasional paper series in Philosophy of Human Ecology and Social–environmental Sustainability.
Human Ecology Review is the official journal of the Society for Human Ecology (SHE) and is published in open access online format by ANU Press (http://press.anu.edu.au). It is also available to member and institutional subscribers in hard copy format. Human Ecology Review is indexed or abstracted in Environment Abstracts, Environmental Knowledgebase, Environmental Periodicals Bibliography, Linguistic and Language Behavior Abstracts, Social Planning and Policy Abstracts, and Sociological Abstracts. All back issues are available from JSTOR http://www.jstor.org/journal/humaecolrevi. For those without access to JSTOR, some issues are still at the SHE website https://societyforhumanecology.org/, although this site is no longer maintained and will be ported into the main SHE website in the future.
