Human Ecology Review switched to open access online format in 2014, published by ANU Press.  Your membership dues help keep the journal free to both readers and authors, supporting the principle of open knowledge access. Since that time we have had 45,681 downloads from online issues with figures rising year on year – along with substantial ongoing downloads from previous issues.

The SHEXXIII conference hosted by Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, July 7th to 10th, 2018, was an exciting and diverse meeting of nearly 400 participants representing 35 countries. Just eight months before that, SHE’s XXIInd  International Conference, at the University of the Philippines – Los Banos, Nov. 28 – Dec. 2, 2017, was likewise a successful gathering with over 300 delegates from 22 countries.  Your membership dues will help us improve the website and provide valuable content for both yourself and this international membership. This is especially important for individuals from developing nations who can struggle to access academic and community resources.

As we continue to broaden our horizons, we believe that SHE is especially well positioned to play a key role in stimulating and deepening fruitful collaborations among colleagues all over the world. Please join us.
