SHEXXII Conference Travel Grants Available

The University of the Philippines Los Banos (UPLB) is a member of the South East Asian University Consortium for Graduate Education in Agriculture and Natural Resources.
Consequently, any graduate faculty and student from a member of the University Consortia (UC) is eligible to apply for a Travel Grant to the Society for Human Ecolo
gy Conference (SHEXXII) hosted at UPLB if they have had a paper accepted for presentation.

Grants of up to $US1,200 for the UC Faculty Travel Grants will be awarded. For successful graduate students, the round trip airfare to the Philippines and a stipend of up to $500 will be provided.

The Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) Travel Grant is also open for Southeast Asian working in non-profit development professionals and graduate students of other agricultural universities, who will present their research and projects in the conference. SEARCA fellows, alumni, researchers, and scholars are also eligible. The travel grant is up to US$1,200. You need to submit your application to this grant by September 7, 2017.

For Southeast Asian graduate students or young early career lecturers who will present under the Food and Water Systems theme, funding support from the Food Security Center – Hohhenheim University through SEARCA is also available. You should indicate interest in this in your abstract submission and the conference technical review committee will evaluate all applications.
