OSU tenure: sustainability of social-ecological systems

Ohio State University invites applications for a tenure-track/tenured position at the assistant, associate or professor level, commencing autumn semester 2017. We are looking for a scholar whose research and teaching focus on how culture and institutions shape the resilience and sustainability of social-ecological systems. We are particularly interested in scholars who combine evolutionary theory with the tools of game-theoretic, mathematical, and/or agent based modeling to provide an ultimate explanation for the emergence and continued change in behaviors, social norms, cultures, and institutions that may facilitate or hinder efforts to move towards a more sustainable society. The ideal candidate would have a record of leading successful interdisciplinary research projects and will initiate new transformative research projects with colleagues across campus on issues of sustainable and resilient social-ecological systems.
